✅ Registration Process
Invitation Process & EligibilityThe Encuentro is limited to 130 milongueros and is role-balanced to help create the best possible social dancing experience for everyone.
We welcome dancers who enjoy and are familiar with the traditional Buenos Aires social tango environment, including close-embrace dancing, the ronda, cabeceo, and the códigos and etiquette of the milonga. A spirit of connection, respect, and consideration for other dancers is equally important.
All Expressions of Interest are reviewed by the Hosts. Submitting an EOI does not guarantee an invitation or attendance. Invitations are issued at the discretion of the Hosts, taking into consideration the overall mix of dancers and the need to maintain role balance.
Application & Registration Process
Event Capacity & WaitlistAttendance is limited to 130 dancers.
If the Encuentro reaches capacity, additional suitable applicants may be placed on a waitlist. If a space becomes available, we will contact dancers from the waitlist as appropriate, taking role balance into consideration.
Selection from the waitlist is not necessarily first-come-first-served, as we need to maintain a balanced mix of leaders and followers.
PaymentOnce you receive an invitation to register, payment is required to secure your place.
Your registration is not confirmed until payment has been received. If payment is not received within the specified payment period, your invitation may expire and the space may be offered to another dancer.
Early Bird RegistrationThe Early Bird rate is available to the first 80 registered participants or until November 15, 2026, whichever comes first.
Cancellation & Refund Policy
If one member of a couple cancels and this affects the role balance of the Encuentro, the remaining partner may be placed on the waitlist until an appropriate role balance can be restored. We will do our best to accommodate the remaining partner whenever possible.
If the Encuentro Is CancelledIf the organizers need to cancel the Encuentro, refunds will be limited to the Encuentro registration fee. The organizers cannot be responsible for travel, accommodation, meals, or other expenses associated with attending the event.

- Registration opens in October 2026.
- First, please complete the Expression of Interest Form (EOI).
- If selected, you will receive an invitation and instructions to complete your registration and payment.
- Invitations are issued as spaces become available, while maintaining role balance.
- Couples should submit individual EOI forms and include their partner's name.
- Your place is confirmed only once payment has been received and your registration confirmation has been sent.

- Cancellations received on or before January 15, 2027 are eligible for a refund, less a $50 processing fee.
- No refunds will be issued after January 15, 2027.
- We are unable to defer registrations to a future Encuentro.
