My tango journey began in London in 1993 under the mentorship of the legendary Carlos Gavito, whose influence profoundly shaped my dance. Upon relocating to Vancouver in 1995, I played a pivotal role in cultivating the local tango scene, organizing the city's first regular milongas and hosting workshops featuring renowned tango maestros.
My teaching philosophy centers on the belief that tango is fundamentally a social dance. I emphasize the close-embrace milonguero style, fostering an intimate connection between partners and a deep, intuitive interpretation of the music. Students appreciate my clear, step-by-step instruction and patient demeanor, which empower dancers to navigate the floor with musicality and improvisational flair.
